ATARAXOS

Yasmin (she/her), founder of Ataraxos, is a Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in working with ambitious women navigating difficult upbringings, neurodiversity and/or chronic health issues, including the psychological impact of living with conditions that are not always easily understood.

Yasmin is known for creating a warm, calm and thoughtful space where people can be themselves, make sense of what they are experiencing and explore meaningful change without judgement. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed psychological therapies. She takes a personalised, whole-person approach, recognising that psychological wellbeing is influenced by our physical health, lifestyle and wider circumstances. For more information on types of presentations Yasmin works with and treatment, see details in Clinical Psychology and Sleep Psychology pages.

Yasmin's interest in integrative healthcare grew from her own experience of navigating complex health challenges and searching for answers beyond the traditional healthcare system. Through this journey, she connected with leading researchers and clinicians in integrative healthcare in the United States and developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between psychological and physical health. She has also undertaken supervision with Dr Leslie Korn, a Harvard Medical School-trained expert in integrative mental health.

These experiences ultimately led to the creation of Ataraxos — founded on the belief that people deserve
healthcare that sees the whole person, rather than treating mental and physical health as separate.

Outside of work, you'll usually find Yasmin wobbling her way through a yoga class, eating pasta, or curled up on the couch with her two miniature dachshunds, Nala and Bonnie.
